Secretary of State Tom Schedler and the staff of Louisiana's Old State Capitol welcomed actor Jihmi Kennedy to the building on February 4, 2011.

 

Jihmi Kennedy is best known for his roles in Glory and Gung Ho. After co-starring in several notable films during the 1980s, he quit acting and worked as a teacher in North Carolina for most of the 1990s. He returned to acting in 2001.
